On March 8, 2019, Prof. Ip Kuai Peng, Pro-Rector of City University of Macau, with a total of eight staffs from Department of Innovative Social Work, visited Social Welfare Bureau. The staff of the Social Work Bureau who attended the meeting also included Director Vong Yim Mui, Deputy Director Hon Wai, Head of the Department of Research and Planning, Tang Kit Fong, Division Head of the Professional Development and Planning Leong Ka Fai.
Prof. Ip Kuai Peng, also thanked the Social Work Bureau for supporting and introduced the current situation of the City University of Macau. Dr. Jacky Ho, Head of Department of Innovative Social Work, reported on the future orientation of the department and the course development direction, while obtaining professional advice from the authorities.
The Social Work Programme was positively evaluated and approved by Social Work Bureau. It also stated that it will continue to support the long-term development of the course. It will provide students with more diversified measures in the areas of internship and academic support to encourage more students.
